Lisa was standing straight and upright while waiting for the traffic on the road to stop. There were cars honking , school vans filled with the laughter of children whizzing by , and she could see pedestrians on the other side of the road waiting for the signal to turn green.
Lisa had her blonde hair tied up into a bun . She wore a designer suit and held a velvet suitcase in her hand. Although she held herself with grace and posture while waiting for the traffic to stop - there was something stirring in her. It seemed as though she was trying to cover up something by her demeanor.
As the light shimmered green , Lisa swiftly trudged through the pedestrians in front of her - and rushed past the road into the pavement. She had been clutching onto the suitcase and every now and then , she looked behind make sure the coast was clear.Street vendors were shouting , dogs barking and people were busily moving about. The clouds had darkened and for some reason , Lisa didnt seem happy about that.
It was when she crossed the Park Lane , that she noticed a stranger's presence behind her. There was someone behind the shadows trying to reach out to her. With sweat beaded up , on her forehead - Lisa glanced behind .No , nobody was behind that she should keep a watch on . Besides , there were only a couple of kids playing behind her and infront of her was the Heffley Park.
Lisa had become more relaxed , as she was about to reach her flat . It was just a few steps by. Lisa walked into the basement of the building- glad about the fact that she came out successful after all. There was nobody around her - the watchman had gone for his lunch.
Then she heard small and swift footsteps behind her. Then , everything blacked out.
As she struggled to open her eyes - Lisa saw a small figure running across into the pavment. And she could no longer feel her suitcase.
"Madam ..you fine ?"
It was the watchman , Jeffrey.
"Uh, yes Jefffrey - I just had a black out .Didn't eat anything much in the morning."
"Well I'm glad you ain't hurt . I saw you lyin' on the basement , unconscious. Here , have some lime juice . And hope ya' ought not scare me like this again"
Lisa tried to hold up a smile at what Jeffrey said. But how could she ?.
She had lost her days theft. That velvet suitcase could have fetched her millions.
Good one Molu. Just mind the spellings and grammar in some places and the positions of dots and commas. Keep it up.
